I showed my target audience this picture of my detective and they said that it looks very efficient and relevant, but yet still mysterious. The reason i chose a mid-long waist jacket was for my detective to have something unique about him, so that he is recognised by most. Detectives have a particular item or gesture that sparks viewers and in this case i have done this through my costume and clothing, Daniel's grey coat. My aim is to include this jacket within the film. His dark trousers are always the bottoms he wears within my trailer just so the attention of the jacket is emphasised, as it is the main feature. The shiny shoes show that he takes somewhat pride in his appearance and does not look scruffy. The tie makes him look smart and educated, also it represents that he is educated and comes across in a formal manner. His wealth is hinted here, but he does not purposely wear anything that makes him seem as if he is 'showing off'. Collective is the approach i was going for, i want him to be identified instantly, but the main attention and focus to be on my protagonist, Dawn Cope.
